Testing your product and it’s packaging to prevent shipping damage should be looked at before sending to your customers. A product arriving damaged or in a highly dented shipper box does not help your company image. Plus, the amount of time it takes to handle the problem, the additional shipping cost and product replacement will far exceed the additional cost for better packaging.
Some companies accept a certain percentage of damage as part of the cost of doing business and assume the additional dollars for better product protection is not worth the investment. This mind set may have worked in the past but in today’s growing internet shopping first impressions of your company are very important.
